Biotec® Silver, the first permanently
anti-bacterial fabric, an essential requirement in
today’s healthcare environments!
We use Biotec® Silver BioActive fabric
in some of our designs to enhance protection against
harmful micro-organisms including MRSA.
This is a permanent feature of the apparel and will
NOT wash out. Biotec® Silver does
not cause any allergic reactions to skin contact and
therefore has no harmful side effects on the health
of the user. Soft and cool to the touch – offering
comfort, confidence and odor control.
Using Biotec® reduces the formation
of bacteria in the material, and above all their multiplication.
The antimicrobial components are firmly integrated
into the fiber. This means they are permanent and
– unlike additional treatments, with chemical
substances for instance – they do not cause
skin irritations. A comparative study has shown that
even after a few hours substantially fewer bacteria
can be found on Biotec® fibers than on conventional
materials. This improves hygiene and prevents odors
from forming. In addition, it is possible with Biotec®
to make a considerable reduction in the number of
wash cycles. Since Biotec® Apparel is by nature adapted
to hard wearing and easy care, this means a further
cut in energy consumption and the expense of cleaning.
Tests have shown that the effect remains unchanged
even after more than 100 wash cycles.
A growing necessity in todays healthcare field, Biotec®
Silver is a refreshing and comforting new innovation,
providing an extra layer of security against bacteria
and pathogens. The anti-bacterial Biotec® Silver fabric
is based on electrochemically generated silver ions
woven directly into the fibers, and works directly
at the surface. The growth of bacteria is stunted
at the surface, and the smells associated with bacteria
are also virtually eliminated!

100% completely safe for direct contact to skin, and
does not cause any known allergic reactions. Biotec®
